The Church of England established our school in 1845 to serve the whole local community. As a church school we need to have a clear understanding of the Christian values that the school community supports, and as part of the renewal of our vision and values we identified many Christian values that resonate particularly well with the school’s ethos:
- Love, compassion, peace, caring, forgiveness and reconciliation, equality and inclusiveness.
- Service, justice, community, thankfulness, generosity, stewardship and compassion.
These values are most clearly expressed in the life of the school through our ‘Caring Code’:
‘Show you care, show respect and do your best’
‘Show you care…’
By showing that we care we demonstrate service, love, compassion and forgiveness.
By showing respect we demonstrate justice, equality, forgiveness and reconciliation, equality and inclusiveness.
‘…and do your best’
By doing our best we demonstrate thankfulness.
We enjoy close links with our parish church, St Saviour’s, also in Larkhall.
