Class 4: Miss. Noad
Welcome to Class Four's page!
Here you will find useful information, weekly spellings and photos of us at work!
You will need your PE kits on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Please spend ten minutes practising your times tables and weekly spellings. Get an adult to sign your log book when you have read aloud or independently. Try to do these activities as often as you can each week.
Monday 23rd March:
We will continue to review and update Times-table Rockstars through the website. Your child will be able to see what times-table/s have been allocated to them on their ‘Garage’ section when they log in.
All other school work will be uploaded to the ‘Home Learning Year 5’ page of the school website that can be found under the ’Children’ tab along the top of the school website’s home page. The daily tasks set in Home Learning will include any spelling work.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in contact. There are many ways you can do this; through the Teams log-in or an email/phone call through the School Office for example.

Year 5 Homework:
We will set homework on Tuesdays and collect in Homework books on the following Monday. Most weeks we will set Maths and Spelling for each week.
Year 5 will be given a times-table or a group of times-tables to practise that they can access in the ‘garage’ section of Times-table Rockstars. This homework can be practised on Times-table Rockstars using the log-in your child already has or on a worksheet that they can collect from their class. Each week we will test your child’s speed and accuracy of their times-table/s.
Your child will receive 6-weeks of spellings in the coming weeks. These spellings are taken from the Year 5-6 list of expected words. Each week you child will be asked to practise one list. Your child will be given either the Core list or the Mastery list to practise, however if they would like to extend their learning and choose the Mastery list, they are welcome to. After the 6 weeks of spellings we will review and set a new set of lists.
Your child does not have to necessarily practise their spellings in their homework books. We can provide a practise strategy should your child prefer a suggestion on how they practise their words.
If you have any questions, please feel free to speak to a member of the Year 5 Team. Many thanks
