Lockdown Announcement

Dear Parents and Carers,

Lockdown Announcement

Yesterday evening (10th May) Boris Johnson announced some possible changes to the current lockdown arrangements in England. These included a proposal to start a phased return to school for some children from 1st June 2020, as long as certain national measures are met.

Apart from the announcement itself, we have not received any further information from the Government at this point. The proposal had very little information and just stated that the first year groups back to school would be Reception, Year 1 and Year 6.

We would like to reassure our families that once further information has been released, we will carefully consider the content and work with the Trust and Unions to decide how to respond and implement the next steps.

At this stage nothing changes for the children and school staff. ‘Home Learning’ will continue in its current form and the ‘Key Worker’ group will continue to attend school.

We would like to thank you for your patience and understanding during this time and will remain in communication with you regarding this proposed plan from the government, updating you as soon as we are able to.

Best wishes,

Mr Beament
