Weekly roundup Juniors

Dear Parents and Carers

Weekly Roundup – Junior School

We’re starting off this week’s roundup by reflecting on the Tag Rugby tournament children from Years 4, 5 and 6 took part in last week, which was held at Avon Rugby. Supported by Mrs Merrett, the children did a FANTASTIC job of representing the school, and we were so proud to see that the Cobra’s team were awarded a special trophy for sportsmanship 😊 Huge well done to everyone who took part. We would like to say a massive thank you to all the parents and carers who drove the children to the event, and parents and carers who stayed and cheered the children on. Thank you also to Mrs Merrett for arranging this, and to Andie Parry who came into school and helped the children practice prior to the event.

Mr Beament has been busy recently working with the ‘Made by Dyslexia’ charity. He has recorded a video for them to share as part of World Dyslexia Day (which was on October 8th), and has also hosted an online radio show discussing dyslexia and supporting children with dyslexia. Click here to find the links to Mr Beament’s video and radio show.

Year 6 feature in the online ‘Bath and Wilshire Parent’ – you can hear more about their fantastic residential to the Cumulus Centre in Dorset. Click here to read the article.
