St Saviour’s in Bath raising profile of dyslexia across the school
“At St Saviour’s we are changing the narrative around dyslexia and raising the profile,” explained Executive Headteacher Joe Beament. “We have been training our staff, identifying our dyslexic learners and adapting our teaching to build on the children’s strengths and supporting them with their challenges. We are so determined to get this right that we have made it one of our main School Development Objectives this year across our two schools.”

St Saviour’s Junior School complete its Erasmus+ Project with schools across Europe
During the last three years, staff and children at St Saviour’s Junior School have been involved in leading an exciting environmental project with schools from across Europe. Member of St Saviour’s staff have been creating links and visiting schools in Italy, Turkey and Poland as well as inviting colleagues from these countries to Bath. The final visit was meant to be to Spain but due to the pandemic, this was switched to an online event.

St Saviour’s School introduces free ‘Stay and Play’ sessions for families
St Saviour’s School in Larkhall, Bath, is introducing free ‘Stay and Play’ sessions for toddlers, young children and their families on the last Tuesday of every month. The sessions will take place from 2-3pm and will include pond dipping, a giant sand pit, the play bus, football, forest school climbing frames and more. There is no need to book please. All children and families welcome – children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

The new St Saviour’s Schools formal collaboration is up and running. Last academic year, St Saviour’s Infant School and St Saviour’ Junior School in Larkhall, Bath, decided to formally join. Under this new structure, the schools is aiming to enhance the educational experience of children from the nursery all the way through to Year 6.

This year’s leavers from St Saviour’s Junior Church School enjoyed an action-packed trip to the Isle of Wight last week. The Year Six children, who will shortly leave St Saviour’s for schools all over Bath, traditionally spend time away together for the last time on an action-packed trip to the PGL Centre on the island.
