When it comes to times tables, speed AND accuracy are important – the more facts your child remembers, the easier it is for them to do harder calculations.

 

Times Table Rock Stars is a fun and challenging programme designed to help students master the times tables!

To be a Times Table Rock Star you need to answer any multiplication fact up to 12×12 in less than 3 seconds!

 

Each child has an individual log in for the website; an app is also available.

 

The children can use their online profile to practice timestables independently or as part of a group game online. The 'stats' area of your child's profile will tell you how successful your child is at each of the facts presently, giving an indication of focus areas. Throughout a child's time on the site, only their 'rock name' (the name selected by the child when they first log in to the site) will appear. 

 

We will be using this programme every week in school, and encouraging the children to use it outside of school too as part of their multiplication tables practice to increase their speed and accuracy (and gain coins to buy items for their avatar!)
