Early Years Entitlement Funding (EYE funding)

We receive EYE funding for two, three and four year olds. Children are eligible for EYE funding from 1st September, 1st January or 1st April after their third birthday and will receive up to 15 hours’ funded Nursery education per week.

It is possible to combine your 15 EYE funded hours with extra paid-for sessions. If you would like your child to attend Nursery for more than 15 hours a week, you would pay the hourly rate for any additional time over your EYE.

2 Years old funding

Two-Year funding is still available for families who are entitled to additional government funding as in previous terms.  This includes families on low income, looked after/adopted children, children with SEN or DLA confirmed.  A funding code (format XX-XXXX-XXXX) is required from the Local Authority and BANES children or children attending in BANEs can apply here:

2 Years old Funding Working Families

Available from 1st April 2024 for Eligible ‘Working’ families (the same criteria as for 30 hours funding for 3 and 4 year olds).  A funding code is required from HMRC and can be applied for now although HMRC have requested parents wait until mid-January.  The code is the same as for 30 hour (11 digits starting 500/501).  A valid code must be obtained by 31st March 2024 to start receiving funding from 1st April 2024.  Applications should be made here:
