Whole School RWC
On Thursday 1st October, Grant brought his team from WSM into school to lead a day based around the Rugby World Cup.
The children started the day with an assembly to explain the day, with its overarching theme of courage, ending with a Mexican wave in their countries.
They then participated in four different activities around the school: a Games session, a Discovery session, a Creative session and a Sports session.
During each session they could earn points, for example, for working as a team, or as a kind or motivational individual. The team with the most points would then be awarded medals at the closing ceremony. Our winners were Japan. The children ended the day with a whole school rendition of Swing Low, Sweet Chariot.
Hopefully we all had fun, and learnt something new during the day, either about rugby, the country we represented, or ourselves.
