St Saviour's Church Schools

Chickens!

Have you considered the purpose of the small fenced enclosure outside reception? Well, this will become the new space for the school’s chickens. Prior to the building work taking place, the school kept a small number of chickens for approximately 4 years which the children, parents and staff lovingly looked after. It is anticipated that we will acquire 6 – 8 new chickens in May. This will give us plenty of time beforehand to set up the space with the necessary coop etc. However, we also have a request. We would be extremely grateful for donations of the following items to complete the enclosure: • paving slabs • chicken feeder • chicken drinker • chicken wire • food bin • dog bowl • buckets • wood shavings, straw If you can help with any of the above, please contact Ms Birkett (Y4, Class 5). Thank you.
