Goodbye Ms Birkett
Ms Birkett is moving on to new adventures after over 25 years teaching at the school. Over the years, Ms Birkett has taught hundreds of children who have all benefitted from her kind and supportive approach. Ms Birkett has been instrumental in some important projects at the Junior School, including:
- leading the Erasmus Plus Project over many years, linking St Saviour’s with schools, educators and pupils across Europe whilst all working towards a common project goal (formerly known as Commenius),
-introducing rescue chickens to the school site (complete with knitted coats and a special coup!)
-leading successful teams of School Councillors, giving children a voice to discuss and share ideas surrounding children’s rights
Amelia in her class said, “Ms Birkett is really caring and she listens to people,” and Jude in her class said, “She gives help and takes care of people- she gives us the right things to do 😊.”
We wish Ms Birkett every happiness in the future – she has been a dedicated teacher, colleague and friend to the whole St Saviour’s community and will certainly be missed.
