Junior Weekly Roundup
Dear Parents and Carers,
Weekly Roundup – Junior School
This week has been an exciting week!
Boys Football
On Tuesday, Miss Markwell took the Year 6 boys to the football tournament. The boys represented the school so well. They worked together as a team and even won some of their matches! Thank you to all of the parents who helped with this event and to Mrs Merrett for organising this. There will be pictures to follow next week.
Free dance performance for Year 6
Today, year 6 were lucky enough to watch a dance show in the hall by a company called ‘Aka Dance Theatre’. The show was called, ‘A Real Fiction’ and was an interactive performance and a story based dance based on people’s memories from the public e.g. a weather man, tennis commentator etc. All of the children loved the show: the year 6 teachers told me the children danced back to their classroom after the show and said it was the best day ever! There will be pictures to follow of this exciting performance next week.
Christmas Jumpers
With her Eco hat on Louise is running a Christmas Jumper stall after school on Tuesday 29th on the pavement between the two schools. If you have any Christmas jumpers that are now too small that you would like to donate, please bring them to either the Infant or Junior office. Thank you Louise
Fareshare
As you know we get a delivery every week from Fareshare. What we receive varies from week to week, but I know that it is greatly appreciated within our school and local community. To ensure that as many people have access to it as possible, we will be aiming to keep the food covered until 8:45 when there may be more families on site dropping off children. Fareshare will continue to be for any member of our local community. If you would like access to Fareshare but can’t be here at that time, please contact the Infant office.
