Weekly Roundup – Junior School
This week has been a busy lead up to the end of term.
Easter at the Church
On Monday, we visited the church for our Easter Service. A big thank you to Rob and Rachel for hosting us, and to everyone who joined us for this lovely service. Click here to see pictures of our service and the Infant service.
OPAL, visit from assistant director of Education and Junior Library
On Wednesday, the Infant school had their OPAL audit and are now a platinum OPAL school 😊 Click here for more information. Congratulations to everyone at the Infants. Also on Wednesday, Faye Bertham (assistant director of education in the MAT) visited the St Saviour’s schools, and we were able to show her our lovely new library. Love and kindness messages for Ukraine
Today we have shared messages of love and kindness thinking specifically about the situation in Ukraine. Thank you to River in year 5 for this great idea. Click here to see pictures of the Junior and Infant children together sharing their messages. As part of this we would like to collect donations. If you would like to make a donation which would be passed on to UNICEF who are working to support families in Ukraine, please do so via SchoolComms over the Easter break!
We have been so impressed with the independent fundraising ideas the children have been carrying out. Click here to find out more about one of these fundraising projects.
Jubilee trees
Finally, we have been kindly gifted two trees for the Junior school and two for the Infant school, one from BANES and one from Bath in Bloom as part of their celebrations for the Queen’s Jubilee. Click here to see pictures of the trees being planted.
