Year 5/6 Computing lessons

In our computing we have been learning about how to design a computer game. My theme was cats  and when I wanted to make a bad guy I chose a black cat. You had to collect white cats and avoid the black ones – they followed you and you had to be quick to escape them. I thought my game was really good and I have enjoyed designing it.

I have really enjoyed making the games because you can use your imagination to design it.  I played one of my friends games but it was really hard because there were jumping bad guys and we kept getting  caught.

We have been designing games, we could pick our own themes. I made a few games and one of mine was an army game. It was difficult to design the game to put in the walls, baddies, obstacles and to collect the poppies. I have really enjoyed playing my game and my friend’s games.

I made a few games one was a football theme, a space theme and a shark theme. I liked that when I failed and made a mistake, I was able to fix it and learn from it.
