COVID-19 update – 20/03/20

Dear Parents and Carers,

Please read to the end!

Current Government advice

The core Government advice regarding self-isolation has not changed since 18/03/20.

Current advice can be found here:

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/covid-19-stay-at-home-guidance/stay-at-home-guidance-for-households-with-possible-coronavirus-covid-19-infection)

Please continue to use the absence lines or emails to let us know if your child(ren) are not going to attend school. Please include the name of the child(ren), year group(s), details for absence and the length of absence. If you email, please title the email ‘Pupil Absence’.

Supporting Key Workers and vulnerable children

An email was sent today regarding this, please reply by 12noon TODAY

I will contact families on this list with arrangements for next week.

Children entitled to free school meals

We have put in arrangements for next week to provide all children that are entitled to Free School Meals with a free take away packed lunch. If you are on this list you can collect this lunch between 12 and 1pm Monday to Friday next week from the Infant School, regardless of which school your child attends.

Please note that this DOES NOT include Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM).

If you are not sure if you are entitled to this please give us a call and we will check our system for you.

If you don’t qualify for Free School Meals but are worried about feeding your children during this difficult time please make contact with the schools in person, by phone or email and someone will get back to you ASAP. All these discussions will be treated confidentially – we really want to help!

Home Learning Online and Home Learning Packs

Over the next few days I will create an online video helping children to use and navigate the Home Learning webpage. It will be uploaded to the school website, Facebook page and Twitter page.

Next week, please start using your Home Learning Packs and make sure you log in to Office 365.

Here is a video to help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-uZMy1aHfw&t=5s&safe=true

If you haven’t collected your pack or ‘Office 365 log in’ please collect these from the relevant school office or let us know you can’t and we will try to get it delivered for you.

Next week

School will be closed to the children until further notice and staffing will be reduced on site to protect staff and follow Government advice.

We aim to keep the school offices open next week so please make contact in the normal ways if you have any questions.

If the School Offices close, or we reduce hours I will email you with these changes.

We are still here and we want to help, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Best wishes,

Mr Beament
