Infant Weekly Roundup
Dear Parents and Carers,
Weekly roundup – Infants
Well, it would appear that Christmas has started to creep in at the Infants! The tree stands sparkling in the main hall, advent calendars are in classrooms, costumes are piled high, and the school is filled with singing. On Thursday, the Nursery children dressed up in their finest Christmas attire and welcomed their grownups in to share some Christmas songs. It was super and a great way to launch us into December.
Reception and Years 1 and 2 have been busy practising their performances and I think it's safe to say that all grownups in school wake daily with the tunes running through their heads. We are so excited to be sharing the performances with you next week. You’re in for a treat – bring tissues!
You will get another chance to hear the children sing on Monday 12th December at 9:45. For the first time Years 1 and 2 will be joining the Junior children at the Church for singing. We have been in contact with Rob and Rachel and we have organised how we will all fit in, and with careful jiggling we think that there will be some capacity for adults to also be invited. This invitation comes with a warning to please be understanding if you turn up and there is no room. If you can help walk the infant children to Church and back again, please let your child’s class teacher know.
Of course, Christmas is not stopping all other learning. The children in years 1 and 2 have been studying maps, Year 1 have been making wonderful art using natural materials and Reception have been enjoying their outdoor learning.
