St Saviour's Church Schools

Junior School - The 'Weekly Round-Up'

“In a world where you can be anything, be kind.”

This week we have been celebrating differences as part of Anti-Bullying week, and raising money for Children In Need. The National theme of this year’s anti-bullying week has been ‘One Kind Word’. We learnt this theme was chosen because the isolation of the last year has underlined how little acts of consideration can break down barriers and brighten the lives of the people around us. Watch a short video about the benefits of kindness here.

We started the week with Odd Socks Day, and learning more about Rose Ayling-Ellis, the first deaf contestant to take part on Strictly Come Dancing. You can find out more here.

We have also been creating art work and completing activities linked to the ‘One Kind Word’ theme, as an extra way of reminding ourselves about the acts of kindness we regularly show through our school values. You can find out more about our School Values and purpose here and more about the activities children have completed here.
