Paralympian Katrina Hart
We were very excited to be welcoming top athlete Record Breaking Katrina Hart to our schools on Friday 11th March. She visited the Junior School in the morning and the Infant School in the afternoon.
Record Breaking , Katrina Hart lead a sponsored fitness circuit with all our children and followed this up with a talk and question and answer session for each school.
The day was really inspiring as we heard about Katrina's story and her achievements in her sport of athletics and sprinting. Katrina was passionate about encouraging and promoting her sport and sport in general to the children.
Hannah in Year 5 finished the Junior School Assembly with a wonderful question that summarised the day well:
‘How does it feel to inspire so many children?’
Katrina answered by saying, 'It's about being the best you can be, to enjoy what you do and reach for your dreams and I am so happy to encourage more people to take part in sport'
