St Saviour's Church Schools

Weekly roundup – Infant School

We’ve been enjoying the drier warmer weather this week by being outside as much as we can!

On Tuesday we had our fourth Stay and Play. It was great fun. We read a story about a little mouse and its new house and then we made fantastic dens in the Willow Garden. The children made Spiderman dens and Unicorn dens and we finished the session with singing time. The children refreshed my memory for Twinkle Twinkle Chocolate Bar and the Spiderman song! The next session is Tuesday 14th June at 9:30 -10:30 for a Teddy Bears Breakfast. Click here for Den pictures.

In KS1 the children are looking at plants in our local environment and becoming young gardeners. Children in Kenya class came up with some very interesting questions.

Why are flowers different colours? Alivia

Why do plants need sun light? Bethany

How are plants made? Grace

What was the first plant ever on the planet? Alfie

We look forward to hearing what they discover.

We are waiting on a confirmation of a date next term for our OPAL Award assembly. You will be invited in for a Stay and Play session and to attend the assembly.

Children love our playtimes, and we are so lucky to have such rich grounds to explore. Click here for playtime fun this week.

Children have been putting their weaving skills to use following on from their practice sessions last week and have made woven bracelets. To see pictures click here
