Weekly Roundup - Infant School
Well, the end of another busy week! I can’t quite believe the speed with which they are passing. We have got four more weeks left where we ramp up our focus on Transition for all our children. This week the year 2’s have started visiting he Junior school to meet and play with the Year 3 children. They had great fun exploring the different playgrounds and meeting old and new friends.
The children will have more opportunities to visit the Junior school and meet the year 3 children next week with a Buddy time and more play sessions.

Class structure next year
Next week we welcome the new Reception children for a Come and Play session where they get to come with their grownups into the Reception Garden and explore the classrooms.
We are delighted to say that we will be having two reception classes next year taking us to 5 classes plus Nursery! All class sizes will start the year around low to mid 20’s. The class structure will be the same as this year but with an additional class.
2 x Reception
1 x Year 1
1 x Year 1/2
1 x Year 2
We will be sharing which class your child is in and their teacher prior to Move Up morning on the 7th July.
KS1 Meeting with Dr Sean Elias
On Thursday, the KS1 children had an exciting virtual meeting with Dr Sean Elias from the Jenner Institute. Dr Elias had responded to the children’s letters to Dr Sarah Gilbert asking about the Covid vaccine. He shared a presentation with the children and then answered their questions.
Evie asked, ‘How many rooms are there in your lab?’ The answer was, ‘the size of 4 – 5 classrooms and it is based at the hospital.’ Click here to see more questions and answers from the children.
