Weekly roundup Infants
Dear Parents and Carers,
Weekly Roundup - Infants
Today we have celebrated World Book Day and everyone looked fantastic in their costumes. It’s always a lovely day when you get to talk about favourite books, sharing stories and gain a greater insight into the characters that children love. Thank you to all of you at home for helping make this day so great and to Joanna and the teachers for organising such imaginative and engaging workshops.
Tiny Animals
On Tuesday, we had a fantastic experience when we got to meet and get up close to a guinea pig, a frog, cockroaches, millipedes, rabbits, a lizard and a snake!
Freddie said, ‘I liked that fat bellied lizard it had a very fat belly!’
Zac said, ‘I liked the snake, it was cool. It sticks its tongue out to taste the air!’
Thank you to Mrs Simmons and the Dojo Legends for arranging the day, and to FOSS for paying for the event. Click here for photos
A message from Louise H - Are you a Scientist?
The Infant and Junior schools will be having Science Week starting 13th March. This year it falls in the same week as Neurodiversity week so we thought it would be a great opportunity to combine the two (as we all know that many scientists have neurodiverse brains, and we want to celebrate this).
The science theme is Space, and the neurodiversity theme is 'Connections'
We are looking for parents and carers who are Scientists to come and talk to the children about their jobs.
If you are able to do this (either during science week or at a later date) please let your child's class teacher know.
A message for Governors and FOSS
You have received an email from the Governors and FOSS earlier today about creating a working party to help the school community be the best it can be. If you can help in anyway, please contact Danielle on danielle.ross@stsaviours.bwmat.org.
Coming up
Parents and Carers evening: Tuesday 21st and Thursday 23rd March – more information to follow about how to book a slot
