St Saviour's Church Schools

Weekly roundup – Infants

This week we’ve been able to invite Parents and Carers in like we did before Covid and it’s been brilliant!

On Tuesday and Wednesday, we invited our new reception children along with their grownups to Come and Play. It was a pleasure to see the children confidently exploring their new environment.

Mia D said, ‘I love it in here!’ as she made food in Receptions International café.

Sports days

The weather was kind to us (just about!) for yesterdays and todays sports days! Up on St Marks’ very plush new Astro turf we had such fun participating with enthusiasm, smiles, and laughter in our colour teams. I was so proud of all the children and it was a joyful occasion. A huge thank you to Joanna who organised the event. Photos will be uploaded to the website later this evening. Click here for the website.

Elijah said, ‘I loved the beanbag race, and I also liked the tyre race because it was fun.’

Iris said, ‘I liked the beanbag and bat race because it was tricky, and I like tricky things.’

Receptions sports day today was equally as joyful. The determination on all the children’s faces bought a huge smile to mine as I’m sure it did to yours.

Jackson said, ‘I enjoyed the water and buckets race because not much water got spilt on many teams.’

It was also lovely to see some of you at our Friday Celebration assembly. Please know that you are welcome every week regardless of whether your child is receiving a certificate.

Summer Fair

Tomorrow is the Summer Fair and the school is filling with Bric a brac, cakes and miniature gardens. We looked forward to seeing many of you tomorrow. All our fingers and toes crossed for the weather to be dry!

Best wishes

Sophie
