St Saviour's Church Schools

Weekly roundup – Junior school

Good news travels far and wide! Sadly, I’ve not been in school this week (COVID-19 has a lot to answer for!) but have loved hearing about all of the wonderful things going on in the Junior School.

Year 3 have been working so hard on their nativity, and we know it is going to be wonderful. Please remember, all of the information about next week’s performances of ‘There’s Only One King’ (Year 3) and ‘The Bossy King’ (Infants) can be found here on the school calendar and to see some of the photos from the dress rehearsal click here

On Tuesday, the Girl’s football team did a fantastic job playing Saltford Primary School. You can see pictures (and a video) of their hard work and great team spirit here. I know Miss Noad and Mr Beament really enjoyed watching them play and thought they were great 😊

This week also saw the launch of the Archie Project in Year 4,  where the children met Archie the Scarecrow and learnt about dementia awareness. There will be lots more work going on regarding the Archie project as the year progresses and we continue to work alongside Reminiscence Learning. To see some lovely pictures of the launch (and a few scarecrows you may recognise!) click here.

Also this week:

  • To learn more about the clay taoties Year 6 made as part of the work on the Shang dynasty, click here.
  • To see pictures from ‘Walk Through the Bible’ in Year 6, click here.
  • To get in the festive spirit for the PTA’s Mini Christmas Fair, click here.
