Weekly Roundup – Junior School
World Book Day
This week, we have loved celebrating World Book Day. We’ve been focussing on four books that we think are rather special:
-The Truth Fairy by Matt Haig
-The Barnabus Project by the Fan Brothers
-The Proudest Blue by Ibtihaj Muhammad and S.K. Ali
-Here We are – Notes for Living on Planet Earth by Oliver Jeffers
You can see pictures of our wonderful book day costumes here and find out more about the projects we did based on these books here.
Open Classroom
It was lovely to welcome parents and carers into classrooms this week. We hope you enjoyed hearing about your child/ children’s learning – you can see some pictures here.
Thinking of Teresa’s family
We have been thinking of Teresa’s family this week following her unexpected death during the holidays. She had been such an important part of the Junior school community for a number of years, and we really miss her. Thank you for your support and understanding with changes to the Junior menu this week, and also for the kind messages families have sent in for Kai. We will ensure any messages sent in are passed on to Kai and his family in the coming weeks.
