St Saviour's Church Schools

Weekly Roundup – Junior School

It’s been another great week at the Juniors. On Monday, we held our NSPCC ‘Speak Out Stay Safe’ assembly, where the children got to hear about how to keep themselves safe. We did activities about this in class this week, you can find out more here.

Year 6 have been enjoying some time in the sunshine reading – click here to see pictures of this.

Year 3 have been sharing their Egyptian projects with us. We think they look amazing! Click here to see more.

The highlight of the week has been meeting Paralympian Katerina Hart. The children loved taking part in the activities and asked really thoughtful questions in her assembly such as, “What does it feel like to inspire so many people?” and “Will you be in the Commonwealth games this year?” We will be sharing photos shortly on the website, and it was fantastic to hear how brilliant our visitors thought the children at St Saviour’s were. They praised their enthusiasm and encouragement of each other, and said that out of the hundreds of schools they have visited, St Saviour’s was the best school they have visited. Well done everyone, and thank you to Mrs Merrett and Joanna at the Infants for organising this brilliant event.

Thank you for all the donations that have come in to school. The generosity of the community has been overwhelming. We are having to pause donations at the moment so that our volunteers can organise what we have already received. Click here for more information.

Best wishes,

Mrs Simmons
