St Saviour's Church Schools

Weekly Roundup – Junior School

We’ve been enjoying lots of fun activities at the Junior school this week 😊

Governor visit:

This Wednesday, our Governors came for a learning walk around the Infants and Juniors as part of their meeting. As the children weren’t there to explain their learning, teachers left out examples of books, our editing, marking and feedback approaches and dyslexia-friendly approaches. You can see some pictures of the things they looked at here.

Cam Densmore, our school SEND governor, has kindly written a message for everyone. Click here to find out more about what Cam’s role is as SEND governor.

Vyshyvanka Day

Our Ukrainian pupils taught us about a special Ukrainian tradition. Yesterday was Vyshyvanka Day, which is held annually on the third Thursday of May.

It aims to preserve the folk traditions of wearing "vyshyvanka" - or embroidered Ukrainian national dress. Our St Saviour's Ukrainian children wore beautiful national clothes to celebrate. Click here to see pictures of this.
