Weekly Roundup – Junior School
Another busy week at St Saviour’s Schools – this week an Ofsted inspection for the Infants!
Infant Ofsted
Everyone at the Juniors would like to congratulate the whole Infant team on the hard work and effort they put in to ensuring the Inspectors were able to see typical lovely days of fun and learning at the Infants. Well done everyone 😊 Please click here for a little more information about this.
Teacher of the week – Mrs Offler!
We are very proud to share that Lottie in Year 6 nominated Mrs Offler to be ‘teacher of the week’ in the magazine ‘The Week Junior’. Lottie said, “She is one of the funniest people I’ve ever met who always puts a smile on my face throughout the day. When I move up I am going to miss her laugh and smile. Her enthusiasm is amazing, I really do not know where she stores it all. I think she could be a stand up comedian! She even makes maths fun!” I hear on the grape vine that Bruno from TT Rockstars has emailed Mrs Offler to congratulate her on making maths fun too, as he saw the article in the magazine. Well done Lottie and Mrs Offler – this is such a kind thing to do Lottie (I think you made Mrs Offler’s week!) and very well deserved.
Junior Writing moderation
This week, Miss Noad led our writing moderation with the local authority. We were so proud of the comments that came from this moderation. The two moderators commented on how creative all of the writing was, said the vocabulary used was lovely and said the children’s writing really showed how passionate the teachers are about writing. Their exact words were, “Your creative writers are wonderful!” Huge well done to all the teachers across both school teams, as the children have been learning these skills since starting at school, but special well done to Mrs Offler and Miss Noad who have helped the children become even better writers this year. Well done also to all of our wonderful writers in Year 6 – perhaps in the future you will be reading their work published…
