Year 1 scientists explored habitats this afternoon as part of their new ‘Polar Places’ science topic!

They started to talk about the features of these habitats and heard from an Antarctica explorer who spent two years answering scientific questions and discovering new minerals and rocks.

The children also had a chance to find a penguin hidden in ice as they imagine what it would be like to be surrounded by snow and ice in very cold temperatures.
