Carver Class along with the rest of Year 5 and 6 have been looking at classifying living organisms and as part of this they have been preparing an investigation into how quickly mold develops in bread. They initially looked at the category (called a Kingdom in the Science world) of Fungi and what this includes. They sketched a cross section of a mushroom and then prepared their investigation based on knowing that mold need food, warmth and water to grow - so now we have bread warming in the cupboard! We look forward to the results!
