  • Whole School Easter R.E Day

    Mon 21 Mar 2016
    On Monday 21st March the whole school spent the day asking the question,  "What does Easter mean to Christians and what can we learn from this, whether we have a belief or not?". All year groups took part in a range of activities, including feet washing, Lenten Veil making, exploring The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, playing games exploring justice, creating dramatic scripts to tell the story of Rosa Parkes, asking what a king looks like, singing a Christian chorus, reflecting on betrayal and forgiveness,  creating the Garden of Gethsemane and discussing our hopes and wishes for the future. See our Garden, with our betrayal and forgiveness hearts, in the foyer!

  • SATs information

    Thu 10 Mar 2016
    In May, Year 6 will be the first group of children to be tested under the changed assessment arrangements for the new National Curriculum. There are changes to the tests themselves and also to the way in which outcomes will be reported to parents. Although there are some details that are still to be confirmed, the short video on the link below gives a good overview of what is most likely to be the case. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nF1n1g4CePI&feature =youtu.be
  • Attendance

    Thu 10 Mar 2016
    Good attendance is the first step in making the most of the opportunities that are offered at school.
    Over the last 4 years we have achieved a good level of attendance and aim for that to continue – this year we would like to reach 96%.
    Each Friday, in praise assembly, we check the attendance for each Crescent Team during the previous week and award extra points for the best.
    For the first weeks of term, the results are;
    Camden 93.7%
    Lansdown 95.2%
    Norfolk 94.0%
    Somerset 94.5% ]
    Whole school 94.3%
    Well done Lansdown – leading the way towards that target!
