  • On the 1st of March we will be an Academy School

    Wed 28 Feb 2018

On the 1st March we will be officially joining the ‘Bath and Wells Multi Academy Trust’ to visit the Trust website please click here.

Over the next 6 weeks more local schools will join the Trust as we become part of a new ‘Bath Hub’. This will give us more opportunities to collaborate, share resources and expertise, learning from each other and continuing to improve the education on offer here at the Junior School.

This is a new and exciting adventure for the school and we are looking forward to developing our partnerships and benefiting from being part of this growing organisation.

As explained as part of our public consultation, in the short term we will be changing our name and logo (see below).  Over the coming months the new logo will start to appear on our documentation, our signs and uniform. ‘Old uniform’ can still be worn until it is ready to be replaced—more information will be sent out about this in the near future.

We are looking forward to continuing to work closely with our local schools and learning from the wider Bath and Wells Academy Trust.

  • Thinking Day

    Thu 22 Feb 2018

World Thinking Day, Thursday 22nd February 2018

World Thinking Day is a celebration of ten million girls worldwide that has taken place on every 22 February since 1926. It remains a day for all Guides and Girl Scouts to think of each other and celebrate their sisters all around the world.

    How the celebrations began

In 1926, delegates from Guide and Girl Scout organisations across the world met in the USA for the 4th World Conference. They decided to create a day for Guides and Girl Scouts to celebrate being part of an international movement. Delegates chose to hold the first celebration on the joint birthday of Lord Baden-Powell, founder of the Scout and Guide Movement, and his wife Olave, who served as World Chief Guide. And so, 'Thinking Day' was born.

To celebrate and support World Thinking Day 2018 children (and one teacher) who are members of Scouts, Beavers, Guides, Brownies etc. wore their uniform on Thursday 22nd February.
